Dimension Style - Annotation

Control the display of dimension, including dimension Text, Dimension line, Extension line, Arrowhead

Home tab > Annotation panel > Dimension Style


Annotate tab > Dimension panel - Small Arrow - Dimension Style

 

You can create New dimension style, Modify, Override or Compare the dimension styles

Line tab


Dimension Lines
Color, Linetype, Lineweight all set By Block
Dimension lines divided by 2 parts: Dim line 1, Dim line 2, it act like a block

Extension Lines
Color, Linetype 1, Linetype 2, Lineweight all set By Block
2 extension lines act like a block

Extend beyond dim lines
Depend of the object size (min 3% of the object size)

Offset from origin
Depend of the object size (min 3% of the object size)

Fixed length extension lines
Fix all extension lines to the same length

Symbols and Arrows

Arrowhead
Select preset arrowhead from the list or block created within the drawing
When you select the 1st arrowhead, the 2nd arrowhead will follow the same
Leader's arrowheads are independent from the other

Arrow size
Depend of the object size (min 3% of the object size)

Center marks
Mark: Cross Mark
Line: Cross Mark @ center, and 4  lines @ the quadrant
Affect on new dimension only
Dimension Break
Break size: Depend of the object size (min 3% of the object size)
Arc length symbol
Place it beside or above the dim text, or none

Radius jog dimension
Jog angle: From 5 ~ 90
Affect on new dimension only
Linear jog dimension
Jog height factor: 1.5 times of dim text height

Text tab



Text appearance
Text style: Standard by default (you can select from the text list which linked to the Text Style dialog box)
Text color: ByBlock (dimension act like a block)
Fill color: None by default
Background: Fill color follow the background of drawing setting
Text height: Depend of the object size (min 3% of the object size)

Text placement
Offset from dim line: Depend of the object size (min 3% of the object size)

Text alignment
ISO standard: Aligns it horizontally when text is outside the extension lines
