Select object

Click First point on command line

Specify first break point

Specify second break point

The line break with a open gap

Start the break command
Select object

Click Frist point on command line

Pick the 1st point

Pick the 2nd point

Circle

Start the break command
Select objects

Click First point on command line

Pick the 1st point

Note that for circle, counter-clockwise rule ia apply

Specify 2nd break point

Break at Point

Break object into 2 without gap
