Trim and Extend - Modify

Trim

Remove part of object based on cutting edge

Home tab > Modify panel > Trim

Select objects

 

Select cutting edges

 

Press Enter to end the selection

 

Select objects to trim

Cross-select the objects to be remove

Extend

Lengthen object based on boundary edge

Home tab > Modify panel > Extend

Select objects

 

Select boundary edges

Press Enter to end the selection

Select objects to extend

Cross-select the objects to extend

 

Trim ans Extend

You can use Trim command to trim and extend the objects

You also can use Extend command to extend and trim objects

 

Home tab > Modify panel > Extend

 

Select obects

Select boundary edges

Select both boundary edge and cutting edge
Press Enter to end the selection



Select objects to extend

 Shift + Select to trim

The part will trim with the same command
